Emoji should be best avoided in a professional communication, right? Think again. According to the latest research carried out by statista.com, up to 61% people use emoji in work-related communication. They have a positive impact on the communication and increase trust of the participants. Besides, emoji save your time writing the meeting subject.

There are two ways to add emoji to your meeting subject in MeetingRoomApp booking system.

1. Meeting subject on the room display

You can add emoji directly in the app on the meeting room display. Just tap on the Edit icon and add whatever you need to the meeting subject. If you schedule the meeting or send the participants an invite from the tablet, emoji will also be displayed in the e-mail subject.

2. Meeting subject in a booking from a computer

In order to be able to add emoji to the meeting subject in your calendar, you need to enable emoticons and symbols on your hardware keyboard first. This is often as easy as ticking a field to show emoticons in the keyboard settings. The keyboard with emoji list icon appears in the top menu bar of your PC. After that, follow the same steps.

Other use of emoji

The meeting subject is not the only way to use emoji in our app. Emoji can also be added to the notification buttons and a meeting or conference room name. You can see an example of using emoji in notification buttons below.

Emoji categories in a meeting subject

You can add emoji to the meeting subject as individual symbols, or you can create emoji stories based on the type of the meeting. You can choose from hundreds of emoticons; there are no boundaries to your imagination. See just some of the emoji you can use for the following meetings:
